Star Wars: Kinect "Rancor Rampage"

In the early development of the project I was in charge of working with our Tech Director in developing a building breaker system that would be easy and quick to test and create a final product. Previous to this we were forced to create collision boxes for each broken piece. This was time consuming and prone to errors if the steps weren't followed exactly. It was also hard to control quality with multiple artist. The system that was designed required that the artist simply break the object/name pieces correctly and the Infernal engine does the rest. We were able to create entire towns with fully breakable buildings that with the previous system would not have been possible. To make the building more random, we also created a randomized "accessory" kit of items that would be turned on and off so that the same 6 buildings look a bit different each time. In addition the these images, I developed the material and general look of how to use the same textures across all buildings and still have custom detail for each building. This system was later documented and used by outsourcing to complete the other Rancor levels.
